‘Ineffable Love’ is an individual study guide that explores life and the Christian faith through the lens of the hit TV show, Good Omens.

We explore themes of Justice, Bodies, Power, Belief, Hope, and Love & Renewal in six chapters, through commentary on the show, Bible studies, and our own creative reflections. It’s full of questions to invite thought and discussion, as well as ideas for further study.

Good Omens has a large fan following who have been using the inspiration of the TV show to shine new light on their own experience, or their observations of the world around them, or their own theology, philosophies and ethical conflicts through stories, art, crafts, songs, toys, essays and poetry. We want to invite our readers to participate in the joy of fan creation, so each chapter is accompanied by a “Get Creative” section suggesting craft projects and story prompts for our readers’ own reflections.

We’re intentionally celebratory of LGBTQIA+ people with particular emphasis on trans and non-binary people, in keeping with the themes of the show and the book it’s based on. We’d like to celebrate and welcome readers of all gender identities and expressions. We try to challenge binary thinking and challenge ourselves and our readers to consider the world through others’ lenses with regard to race, age, gender, class, politics, religion, culture, health, employment status, neurodiversity, personal trauma, grief, and the whole range of highs and lows that characterise the human experience.

We’ve written this book with individual study in mind, but it would be easy enough to adapt it to a group format if that suits the reader. It’s divided into chapters, which could be adapted to a six week course or discussion group in whatever manner you deem to be most appropriate and inclusive for your own community.

We made a book! eeee!
